The Plan

February 9th was a day of courage and triumph, where our two LARPing armies clashed and heroes were revealed. But behind the scenes of this epic battle, there lay a tale of cunning strategy and matchmaking machinations, put together by none other than myself, Pedro Donaldson.

After the long day on the battlefield and victory was declared for my army, whispers of admiration filled the air, specifically for one key figure: Benedict Wells.  Little did they know, Benedict's stunning performance was not solely a result of his brilliance but also a carefully crafted plan set in motion by yours truly. Weeks prior to the battle, I had observed the chemistry between Benedict and Beatrice, the sparks of potential romance.

With this insight, I hatched a plan to nudge them together, using various methods to ensure that they would fall for each other. I subtly positioned Benedict in strategic roles, ensuring that he would prove victorious in our battle and that everyone would realize the impact he had. I would then write about his heroics in the newspaper with a fake quote from Beatrice talking about his great success. In response to this Benedict would think that maybe after all Beatrice was interested in him and wasn't as cold as she seemed.

For Beatrice I employed a different strategy.  I would use her friend Hero as well as Borachio to sway her mind.  I told Hero to plant the idea in Beatrice's head that maybe after all Benedict did have feelings for her.  I then paid Borachio to put a rumor in the advice column confirming that Benedict did indeed have feelings for her.

And it worked exactly as planned.  At the end of day I had my true victory: two spirits, brought together by the artful hand of Pedro Donaldson.  So, if you find yourself drawn to the allure of adventure or even the chance of romance; consider joining the ranks of the most fearsome army in the University Of Messina, the Cupids Arrow LARPers of Messina.
