What does it mean to be a part of the Dead Poets Society? Like the graves we all will lie in, the appearance of depth does not show the inner substance of a person. In our case, we are substance over aesthetic, significance over style. We strive for the advancement of our understanding of the human condition, evoking the sublime and searching the far-reaching shadow cast by our individually passionate sun. Sometimes, the late-night introspection that plagues us all leads us; other times, it’s the overwhelming feeling of a precious moment that we wish to find again or express ourselves. No matter the source that prompts us, we feel called and destined to follow this walk of life, to strive and find our place in the stars. We only have one requirement to join: that you must.
